Our new neice

o.k. i am a horrible aunt..... i dont' have any pictures of my new neice! i will try to get some soon to post. jessi nicole was born yesterday to kimberly (kelly's sister) and phil (her husband!) big brother archer is soooo proud! kimberly was supposed to have a c/section on monday because jessi was breech. however, she felt jessi do some somersaults on sunday night and she requested an ultrasound before they wheeled her back to surgery. surprise, surprise...jessi had flipped, just in time!!! so kimberly quickly went to get something to eat and enjoyed a few hours at home before going back at 9pm monday night to be induced. labor kicked in pretty good early tuesday morning. unfortunately for kimberly her platelets dropped and she was not able to get an epidural. i was in the room with her when she delivered archer and she wanted me to be there this time too, her own personal l&d nurse! with archer she got her epidural EARLY in labor and never really felt contractions. since then i have really given her a hard time about it! especially after i went au-natur-al with daniel!!! i think this time she really could have used me. for some reason she didn't want phil to coach her, i don't think she even wanted to hear his voice! however, we didn't expect things to happen as quickly as they did and jessi made her grand entrance while we were all on the way to the hospital! they called me a few times on our way to the hospital and i could hear kimberly in the background saying "hurry, karie". and "i am in a foul mood!!!" the last time phil called i could hear jessi screaming in the background! what a precious noise! annie keeps saying that "jessi flipped out!"

every one is happy and healthy and resting at home. they were discharged this afternoon. both of our kiddos are sick with a cold/cough so i haven't even got to hold her yet! i didn't want to get my kids' germs near her!

kelly (my sister - it gets confusing!!) has 2 1/2 weeks left! she had a doctors appt on monday and she is 1cm dilated! which is good for a first baby! he said she will not make it to her due date. her blood pressure is borderline high and she is having a good bit of swelling. so if she doesn't go into labor on her own he says he will induce before her due date (sept 1)!! so before long i will be posting about our new nephew!

please say a prayer that kelly will stay healthy and that max will get here safely!
